ABSTRACT

Objectives: During the current pandemic, it is recognised that pharmacies will often be the first point of contact with the health system for individuals with COVID-19 related health concerns or who require reliable information and advice. It is also important in the midst of the current public health crisis to reduce general practitioners' (GP) minor ailment-related workload. The aim of our study is to examine the problems in the midst of public health crisis of the current magnitude with the roles and activities of pharmacists. This information could help to inform future decisions about the restructuring of existing health services by governments, public health bodies and policy makers in response to public health crises such as COVID-19. Method(s): The study was carried out among 384 consumers using pharmacy in the regions of Armenia and Yerevan. Research instrument was questionnaire. Number of questionnaires distribution was determined by The Survey System Version 11.0. Analyses were performed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software (version 12.0). Result(s): During the study it becomes clear that very few percentage of consumers (17%) consulted by a pharmacy employees. Most of them don't get the necessary information from the pharmacy employee about medicine. Only 29 % of consumers are clearly satisfied with the answers of a pharmacy employee and 26% fully trust them. Conclusion(s): Steps should be taken for improving the professional knowledge of pharmacists about medicines and pharmaceutical care, which, in turn, can restore consumer trust in them, will help avoid self-medication errors by providing advice on medicines in response to public health crises such as COVID-19. There is a need to develop pharmaceutical care algorithms for minor ailments, national emergency drug formularies for COVID-19.Copyright © 2023

ABSTRACT

To analyse democratic and legal labour relations in the current conditions of economic and social development means, first and foremost, to highlight their essence and main features, as well as the development trends and future improvements of these relations.The year 2021, like 2020, has been characterized, among others, by the COVID-19 pandemic. This has produced various effects. As an effort to mitigate these effects, the Government of Kosovo has undertaken measures to support employment through the economic recovery package. Based on this context, the main and only purpose of the 1st Measure of economic recovery is the support of employment. Active employment measures have played a very important role in the integration of unemployed persons into the labour market. One of these measures with the largest number of beneficiaries is Vocational Training. Vocational training is a fundamental and very important process to get a job. In this sense, even the latest statistical data (2021) of the official authorities of Kosovo prove that the largest beneficiaries of active labour market measures are the persons who have undergone vocational training. The purpose of Vocational Training is to enable an increase or adoption of professional knowledge, namely to acquire additional knowledge, skills and abilities to perform efficient work, in order to increase the prospect of employment or retain their employment. Based on the international aspect, employment and the labour market are under the pressure of many factors, such as demographic, technological, economic and political ones;therefore, vocational training is considered as one of the most successful active labour market measures. © 2023, Institute for Human Rehabilitation. ABSTRACT

Blended learning mixes offline learning activities and resources with online learning activities and resources. The goal of blended learning is to minimise the time spent sitting in class, which is a significant advantage for a College / university. It might aid university officials with enhancing programmes that have low enrollment, reducing expenditures, and fulfilling staff teaching responsibilities. The study is focusing on the perception of the college students towards the online learning program during the pandemic. The blended learning is the unavoidable and safety method of teaching learning process during the pandemic. It is a qualitative study made in Chennai city. The students of higher educational institutions (Arts & Science and Engineering colleges) are considered as samples. 250 sample respondents are selected from the study are using simple random technique. The Google forms was circulated and collected the primary data. Assessment is a very important instrument for measuring the degree of knowledge that a student has in relation to the topic in which they are enrolled in any level of education. Teachers are able to give the lecture and measure student learning via the use of unique and inventive approaches when they use blended learning strategies.Copyright © 2022 Ubiquity Press. ABSTRACT

Post - COVID - 19 condition in children refers to the presence of physical symptoms or syndromes lasting more than 12 weeks after severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection, which can be manifested as a combination of various signs and symptoms. Girls,school - aged,adolescents,and children with severe illness in the acute phase of COVID - 19 ,with underlying allergic diseases and poor baseline physical and mental health are high - risk factors for post - COVID - 19 condition in children. Pathogenesis may be related to viral persistence, autoimmunity, chronic inflammatory responses, chronic inflammation of vascular endothelial cells, and microthrom-bosis. A comprehensive treatment scheme including symptoms relieving treatment, rehabilitation, and psychological support. This article reviews the epidemiology, clinical manifestations, pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment, and management of the post - COVID - 19 condition in children to improve clinicians' comprehension of the disease.Copyright © 2022 Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics. ABSTRACT

Exposure to OMFS at undergraduate level is rare. Students seeking such exposure often struggle to access important information that would help them decide about a future career in OMFS. The COVID-19 pandemic has made access to such information, for example career workshops and specialty conferences, more difficult. This paper discusses our experiences of setting up an online webinar series aimed at providing practical advice for undergraduates and early trainees interested in the field of OMFS. Clinicians were approached via email and/or social media to deliver a structured programme of key advice and guidance about OMFS. Individual undergraduate and surgical societies were emailed in order to advertise the series which included talks such as 'Week in the Life', 'Subspecialties' and 'Portfolio Building'. An interactive poster containing a Quick Response code was circulated to allow a streamlined registration process. The seminars were held via Zoom videoconferencing software and feedback collated via Typeform using a Likert-scale questionnaire. On average, the webinars were 60 minutes long and each attracted 53 attendees. The series attracted 183 unique participants. The majority of attendees were dental students and 85% were based in the UK. Overall, 94% felt their knowledge of the specialty had improved and 86% were more likely to consider pursuing OMFS as a career as result of the series. This paper shows that videoconferencing is a useful modality to engage with junior trainees and has a wide reach. These benefits must be harnessed going forward to improve access and exposure to OMFS in early trainees.Copyright © 2022 The Authors

ABSTRACT

Background: Aging simulation games are established tools in undergraduate medical education aiming to provide medical students with insights into elderly patient's everyday life and raise awareness for age-related difficulties. At Leipzig University, a 90-min ageing simulation game is part of a compulsory geriatric medicine course in the fifth study year (of six). In the course of online teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic, we replaced the classroom-based simulation with an elementary online version based on four PDF documents containing audio and video links, directives for 'do it yourself' experiences and prompts for reflection. Research question: Is a simple, self-directed online ageing game able to provide students with relevant experiences and insights to enhance their understanding of elderly patients? Methods: Anonymous post-hoc survey among 277 fifthyear medical students eligible for the course in 2020. Descriptive statistical analysis and qualitative analysis of students' free-text responses regarding their main insights from the course. Result(s): Response rate was 92.4% (n=256, ;age =26 years, 60% women). 88% of the students enjoyed working on the course, and 83% perceived it as practice-orientated. 75% reported having gained new personal insights and 60% new professional knowledge. Although 92% reported an enhanced understanding of elderly patients, 85% disagreed that online simulations may generally replace realworld ageing games. PDF documents containing audio and video links directly imitating conditions (visual or hearing impairment) were rated best. Students' main insights from the course (qualitative data) most frequently referred to aspects of professional interaction with geriatric patients, knowledge about conditions/diseases, role reversal, and enhanced empathy. Conclusion(s): Very simple online ageing game equivalents can provide students with relevant insights and raise awareness for elderly patients' needs. They might be alternatively implemented into the education of health professionals where resource-intensive real-world simulations are unfeasible.

ABSTRACT

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in spring 2020, school and university learning were abruptly switched to distance learning, coming along with psychological strains and various learning lags on the part of the students. These problems come to a head when focusing on university teacher students, since an expectable competence lag on their part, similarly arising from pandemic-caused distance learning in university teacher training, could affect their future teaching in schools, possibly then disadvantaging school students a second time. To determine changes of teacher students' self-concept of professional knowledge, we used data of a repeated cross-sectional survey carried out in a period from 2018 to 2021, including several comparable cohorts of overall N = 395 teacher students. This design allowed for splitting the participants in two groups relating to times before and after switching to distance learning. Our results show that the switch to distance learning goes hand in hand with lower scores on almost every dimension of teacher students' self-concept of professional knowledge, although, in parallel, their scores on variables such as openness to experiences, agreeableness, and conscientiousness increased significantly, indicating a certain degree of compliance with the new situation. Beyond that, we report on an evaluative survey among N = 84 teacher students carried out in July 2020, offering further insights into their situation during the first semester of distance learning. Its results primarily show which specific aspects of distance learning the students consider in need of improvement. On the other hand, it becomes clear that they experienced handicaps in various areas, accompanied by a significant decrease of their core self-evaluations when comparing them to a reference sample. ABSTRACT

Over the past two years, e-banking services became very popular and safe transaction processes in the context of COVID-19 in Bangladesh. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the pandemic has affected Bangladesh's e-banking system. Using stratified random sampling in a randomized block design, a questionnaire was developed that registered participants' responses on a five-point Likert scale to examine the current state of e-banking during the COVID-19 pandemic (January-February 2022). Survey response data from 200 respondents in the commercial port city of Chattogram, Bangladesh, were delivered and returned via e-mail and hand-to-hand delivery, to enable the researcher to learn users' opinions and e-banking satisfaction levels. To test the hypotheses, the study applied the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, the Shapiro-Wilk test, Spearman's rho correlation coefficient, the Mann-Whitney U test, and the Kruskal-Wallis H test. The study found that e-banking infrastructure facility, customer e-banking awareness, and the e-banking security service facility were important determinants in increasing bank e-service quality. The e-banking infrastructure and security services facility impressed younger users more than older customers (mean performance: 3.21 and 2.85 vs. 2.48 and 2.16, respectively). Educational qualifications did not affect perceptions of bank e-service quality, the e-banking infrastructure facility, customer e-banking professional knowledge, customer e-banking awareness, and the e-banking security service facility. Customers reported more fascination with private banks than with government-owned banks regarding bank e-service quality, e-banking infrastructure facilities, and customer e-banking awareness (mean performance: 3.51, 3.17, and 4.19 vs. 2.97, 2.29, and 3.65, respectively). ABSTRACT

Genetic sequencing is a scientific process of reading genetic material using advanced technology. Through genetic sequencing, we can better comprehend super-spreader events and outbreaks, and strengthen national public health responses. A better understanding of the transmission of viruses, the severity of patient illness, and mortality rates can be gained by combining this information with that from the IDSP and patient reports. Connecting the dots between the data and the host's genetics, immunology, clinical outcomes, and risk factors is also possible. Many roadblocks must be overcome before raw sequence data can be put to direct clinical application. Since DNA sequencing has so many potential applications in the field of nursing, it ought to be a required topic for students in the profession. Group wellness Preparing patients for procedures, identifying those most at risk, doing sentinel surveillance, and conducting in-depth studies are all areas in which nurses can be of assistance. The goals of this paper are twofold: (1) to present the notion of genetic sequencing and (2) to highlight the role of Community health nurses. To reduce the impact of pandemics and endemics and improve nursing care, Western countries are seeing an uptick in the participation of nurse scientists in genetic sequencing;the case of newborn screening provides a particularly apt example.Copyright © 2023, Institute of Medico-legal Publication. ABSTRACT

Background: It is very important to increase awareness and understanding of oral manifestations of post COVID-19 disease among dentists which can happen by continuing education and training for dentists to recognize and manage oral manifestations of post COVID-19 disease. Aims & objectives: The aim of this is to aware dentists regarding oral manifestation of covid 19 disease. The objectives of study were to assess the level of awareness, understanding and factors influencing awareness among dentists regarding oral manifestations of post COVID-19 disease. Evaluate the of oral manifestations of post COVID-19 among dentists in central India. Methodology: A cross-sectional, questionnaire-based study was carried out among COVID-19 recovered patients. A sample of 100 subjects, diagnosed as mild and moderate cases of COVID-19 disease were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. A well-structured questionnaire composed of total 21 Closed ended questions was send to sunjects. Result(s): The study comprised an almost equal number of male (54%) and female (48%) participants and among them, 47% belong to the health professional group. A total of 56% of subjects were aged above 35 years and 47% below 35 years. Xerostomia, frequent aphthous ulcers, swallowing difficulty, and burning mouth were the most frequently encountered symptoms in study subjects during the disease and post recovery. Conclusion(s): In the present study, dentists were found to have good knowledge toward novel corona virus disease with optimum preparedness level for dental practice modification. Prevention is better than cure This covid-19 pandemic has made many changes in everyone's life, in this pandemic WHO focuses on the safety of healthcare workers and Safety ofpatients, WHO set COVID-19 protocols. Aim(s): Assessment of educational intervention on knowledge regarding World Health Organization covid-19 protocols during delivery among staff nurses. Methodology: The present study is evaluative study with methodological research design. A total of 60 samples were selected for the study by using the non -probability purposive sampling technique based on the selection criteria. The reliability was done by using the test re-test method for structured questionnaire. Data were analysed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Result(s): In pre-test, 43.3% of the staff nurses had average knowledge (Score 4 to 6), 55% of them had good knowledge (Score 7 to 9) and 1.7% of them had excellent knowledge (Score 10) regarding WHO covid 19 protocols.In post-test, 18.3% of them had good knowledge (Score 7 to 9) and 81.7% of them had excellent knowledge (Score 10) regarding WHO covid 19 protocols. This indicates that the knowledge among the staff nurses regarding WHO covid 19 protocols had improved remarkably after the health teaching. Researcher had applied paired t-test for the effect of health teaching on knowledge regarding WHO covid 19 protocols. Average knowledge scorein pre-test was 6.8;which increased to 9.8 in post-test. T-value for this test was 14.08 with 59degrees of freedom. Corresponding p-value was small (less than 0.05), the null hypothesis is rejected. It is evident that the knowledge among the staff nurses regarding WHO covid 19protocols had improved significantly after health teaching. Conclusion(s): there is a significant gap in the knowledge score WHO COVID-19 Protocol among labour room nurses, and hence there is need for a WHO COVID-19 Protocol for the improvement of knowledge.Copyright © 2022 Wolters Kluwer Medknow Publications. In recent years, the system of postgraduate education in medicine faces new challenges and the need for improvement. At the same time, it is necessary to search for a reasonable combination of various types of education in order to preserve and improve the professional knowledge of doctors. Aim. To demonstrate and assess the importance of combining distance learning technologies with traditional teaching methods. Material and methods. The paper analyzes the educational process at the Department of Therapy of the I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University in the period from 2020 to July 2022. The data are based on the results of the annual report of the department, a survey of students, and communication with students using electronic telecommunication technologies (forum, chat, e-mail). Data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics 23.0 software. Results. Department of Therapy of the I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University has been training doctors for a long time in advanced training programs using traditional and distance learning. In 2020, in connection with the pandemic of a coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), distance learning technologies have been actively developed. Online lectures and video seminars have become an important component of advanced training programs, in which 252 students were trained in 2020, and 376 people from different cities of Russia during 2021 and the first half of 2022. In the first year of the pandemic, two short-term programs were created dedicated to epidemiology, clinic, diagnosis and treatment of patients with COVID-19. They were conducted using online seminars, which made it possible to train 4156 doctors from more than 29 regions of Russia. Most of the listeners noted the high professional level of the programs, the importance of using computer technology in addition to traditional methods. Conclusion. ABSTRACT

Objective: To explore the clinical practice of delivering radiotherapy during the outbreak of 2019 novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19). Method(s): During this epidemic period, available method including but not limited to: strict disinfection, body temperature monitoring and staff training of relevant knowledge, were used to ensure the safety of radiotherapy treatment. Statistical analysis was performed to study the relevant data including proportion of patients receiving radiotherapy for different purposes, time from scanning to the first time of radiation delivery and degree of satisfaction in the view of staffs and patients, respectively. Result(s): A total of 60 patients received radiation therapy in the department of radiotherapy of Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital (2020-02-11). Compared with the same period in 2019 (after the Spring Festival), the total number of patients receiving radiotherapy was decreased from 72 to 60(83.3%). Among them, the number of patients receiving palliative radiation therapy decreased significantly, while the proportion of radical, preoperative and/or postoperative radiotherapy/radiochemotherapy did not significantly decrease. There was significant difference between two years (chi2=6.967, P<0.05). The median time for newly admitted patients to receive radiotherapy was two days, which was not significantly longer than the interval in 2019 (P>0.05). Staff and patients were generally satisfied with the current prevention measures. Conclusion(s): Using a variety of prevention and control method, and taking full account of medical safety and patient benefits, radiation-related activities can be carried out during the epidemic.Copyright © 2020 by the Chinese Medical Association.

ABSTRACT

Public health nurses in Ontario, Canada, support the healthy growth and development of children across the province through a variety of programs including home visits for pregnant individuals and families with young children. During the COVID-19 global pandemic the needs of families increased while access to health and social services decreased. During this time, home visiting teams closely involved in supporting families also experienced staff redeployment to support pandemic efforts (e.g., case and contact management, vaccinations) and changes to the nature of home visiting work, including shifts to remote or virtual service delivery. To support nursing practice in this new and evolving context, a framework for capturing and sharing the tacit or how-to knowledge of public health nurses was developed. A valuing of this type of knowledge for informing future public health nursing practice - well beyond the pandemic response - was recognized as a pandemic silver lining when reflecting on two years of supporting home visiting teams in our province.
